Madame Blanc | Verona — Restaurant in Verona

I made a reservation yesterday via the fork app (50% off) and I was very disappointed. The service was very slow, we arrived at 7:55 and our starters arrived at 8:40. The food was amazing, everything we ordered was delicious. The only miss was at the patanegra dish, some pieces were dry and chewy, but overall we loved everything. But as I said service was slow and indifferent, we ordered the tartare di tonno to share because we wanted to try it and we were full at this point. the waitress just put the plate in front of my husband, came back with one fork and left before we had the chance to tell her that we need two forks, the plate is to share. My husband had to get up and take a second fork himself, as if the restaurant is self service. My husband told her as we were leaving that the food was amazing but the service was awful. They should really improve their customer service, I definitely don’t recommend even though the food is amazing and wouldn’t...

Siamo stati da Madame Blanc a Verona e l’esperienza è stata positiva, anche se con qualche pecca. Abbiamo preso un crostone estivo con pesca, stracciatella e pane alla curcuma: davvero ottimo, croccante e ben farcito. Poi una pasta integrale con pesto di zucchine e ricotta salata, buona e ben bilanciata. Infine una calamarata con carbonara di mare: la crema era deliziosa e ben fatta, si sentiva l’accuratezza negli ingredienti, con sferificazione di alici, pepe nero in grani piccoli, pesce spada e tonno affumicato, molto gustoso.

Per i dolci abbiamo scelto una tartelletta con crema pasticcera e mirtilli e un cannolo siciliano scomposto: entrambi molto buoni.

Nota dolente: entrambe le paste erano purtroppo troppo cotte (l’ho fatto presente anche alla ragazza che ci ha serviti, che è stata molto gentile). Il servizio, per quanto cortese, è stato però troppo lento, con tempi d’attesa eccessivi e difficili da giustificare.

La location è molto bella e curata, quindi sicuramente un posto dove tornare, sperando in una cottura della pasta più al dente e in un servizio più rapido.

AGGIORNAMENTO RECENSIONE:

Siamo tornati una seconda volta e ci siamo trovati ancora meglio: la carbonara di mare è arrivata finalmente al dente e sublime; abbiamo provato anche le linguine al nero di seppia con burrata e tartare di gambero, molto buoni, oltre al crostone estivo e all’hummus di ceci con semi misti, davvero ottimo. Questa volta il servizio è stato veloce e perfetto, sempre con la stessa gentilezza e cordialità.

In entrambe le occasioni la location è molto bella e i piatti ben curati, con abbinamenti particolari e riusciti. Sicuramente un posto...
