Acqua Marina Ristorante sul mare — Restaurant in Vietri sul Mare

This a really nice restaurant, located in a great spot, right by the seaside. It is mainly fish based, and you can see the great quality of the food they serve. We started with some mini bruschetta, one with cod mousse, one with tuna and tomatoes. I ordered the soute di frutti di mare to start with , my friends the ravioli, the octopus with cardoncelli mushroom, the sea salads, and then I also ordered the tuna with vegetables. All of this was paired with a very nice white wine called Proclamo, a perfect accompaniment to the fish dishes we had . We ended the meal with 3 desserts, namely a tiramisu, a strawberry millefeuille, and a pear and ricotta cake. All of them very good, the best was the pear and ricotta, it really was a bit above the others. As for the service, a very special mention to the maitre d’, he was really nice, smiling and competent, who suggested the pear liquor that ended a very nice meal in a perfect setting, literally on the beach . Un posto bellissimo, semplice, autentico. Tavoli quasi sulla spiaggia con il mare che riempie occhi e cuore. Il ristorante è gestito da una bella coppia di ragazzi giovani, Marco chef ai fornelli, Sandra ad accogliere ed accontentare in modo discreto e molto garbato gli ospiti. I camerieri gentili e sorridenti. Il punto forte, oltre al posto magico e all’accoglienza superba, è senza dubbio la proposta. Piatti della tradizione realizzati egregiamente con ingredienti freschissimi, servire uno spaghetto a vongole fatto bene non è cosa banale. Frittura di calamari e gamberi stupenda con l’aggiunta di julienne di zucchine, questi sono piccoli particolari che fanno la differenza. Non perdetevi il calamaro scottato ripieno di provola. Tiramisù al bicchiere, millefoglie composta al momento con crema e frutti di bosco ed infine simpatico caffè servito nella moka. Ci torneremo senz’altro!

A beautiful, simple, authentic place. Tables almost on the beach with the sea filling your eyes and heart. The restaurant is managed by a nice couple of young guys, Marco the chef in the kitchen, Sandra to welcome and satisfy the guests in a discreet and very polite way. The kind and smiling waiters. Ristorante confinante (ma indipendente) con alcuni lidi di marina di Vietri. Bella location, in particolar modo se si sceglie di mangiare all'esterno, dove si sta freschi e si vede il mare. Ed il mare è il protagonista della cucina di questo ristorante. Tutte le pietanze che abbiamo ordinato erano ottime e freschissime. Impepata di cozze eccellente (piatto che io non amo particolarmente, ma se è piaciuto a me, vuol dire che era veramente speciale). Spaghetti alle vongole sublimi, frittura di calamari e grigliata di gamberi idem. Pure le semplici bruschette serviteci come antipasto, alcune con la variante al tonno, erano gustosissime. Abbiamo scelto come dolce il tiramisù e, parafrasando Donnie Brasco, "che te lo dico a fare ?" Il tutto lo abbiamo innaffiato con una inebriante falanghina consigliataci da uno dei gentilissimi camerieri e, cosa aggiungere, mai consiglio fu più gradito. Per chiudere abbiamo preso il caffè che viene preparato con la moka come quello fatto in casa, altra scelta apprezzabilissima . L'unico appunto che va però assolutamente fatto al cuoco è quello relativo all'esiguità delle porzioni, in special modo quella degli spaghetti, che erano veramente pochini. Questa défaillance è stata fatta presente al cameriere, il quale ci ha candidamente risposto che in varie occasioni anche altri commensali lo avevano fatto notare. Allora ho capito, lo fanno apposta. Eh sì perché, se non avessero sbagliato qualche cosa, ormai erano ad un passo dalla beatificazione e, parliamoci chiaro, essere costretti a lavorare in spiaggia con l'abito talare, diventa...
