So we arrived on Thursday to a room with no ac, it was apparently broken. Called the desk that night but we did arrive late. Spoke to desk the next morning and they assured me it would be fixed. Arrived back at hotel very late due to sight seeing room still very hot, another night no sleep. Spoke to them again on the next day fi ally sent someone up. The two men who came very nice, filter was black, they washed it and it worked great after. 5min fix took them 3 days. They charge for everything, including water, even tho the room was 100 degrees. Food ok, very pricy for limited options. Pizza grill closed the whole time due to possible bad weather. Only one night of bad weather though. Pool opens at 9am but closes at 6p. So if you sight see all day and want to hit the pool to cool down. Or just soak your tired feet that's a hard no. Spa, opens at 1p closes at 9p. So again a nice spa early morning ing before adventuring out, not available. Cab to the Train station is 40euro pertrip. Hotel shuttle takes you to the market at bottom of hill, only at 920am. That's it. Staff made several comments about americans in italian, and not good ones. Our friend is from here and she said what they were saying was bad. She wanted to come in and address it but no. The wifi here sucks, didn't work the whole time, several people complaining, then day of check out they shut ours off early, we were in the middle of booking our train that morning when they did it. If your an American be prepared for cold food, warm water. Sausage, bacon and eggs cold. Terrible breakfast food. On a good note the views were amazing. This hotel is sold solely on its view, and you are a long very windy drive to amalfia Beach area which is beautiful. Don't try and drive in this area u less your from here, craziest thing I've ever seen and I grew up in NY and drove thw road to Hana in Maui. Our friends live outside Naples in casserta, what a different environment, they were happy to see Americans and glad we spent money there. We ate 2 dinners, 1 breakfast, 3 drinks from mini bar and our room charge was $276. Oh and one disgusting bloody Mary at the bar. They charged us for 2 bottles of water at each dinner and 2 sodas I drank during the one dinner. No refills, soda is $5 for a small can. I've stayed all over and this was by far my worst review and stay. I try to balance my reviews with good and bad but this was all bad, except the view. Rooms are tiny too. We upgraded to a balcony to get the view but we didn't know that we would be sharing the same balcony with the...
Read more20-06-2025 - 24-06-2025 I don’t even know how this place is legally rated 5 stars. What we experienced was beyond unacceptable – it was dangerous.
At 1am, while we were asleep in our suite (which, by the way, is the most expensive room in the hotel), a half-naked drunk man broke into our room. Not the balcony. Not outside. He was fully inside our living room. I had to physically kick him out myself.
Can you imagine the shock? My wife was terrified and shaken for the entire trip. We didn’t sleep properly after that night. And the worst part? The guy turned out to be another guest at the hotel. No one at reception stopped him, questioned him, or even noticed.
When I called reception during the emergency (after a delay, because they didn’t pick up right away), their response was unbelievable. Calmly: “Do you think he did it on purpose or by accident?” Are you kidding me? A drunk stranger broke into our suite, and you’re asking that? Not even an apology. Not even an offer to move us to another room. Zero care. They didn’t even come to the room to ask if we are okay! Nothing!
They had no CCTV cameras in the hallways, entrances, or balconies – absolutely nothing to review what happened. A 5-star hotel with no security and no protocol for a literal break-in.
And then there’s everything else… Staff here are pushy and shady. They pressured us into booking an overpriced boat rental, made it sound like we had no choice, and then tried to charge us even when we said we didn’t want it. Felt like a hustle. The “suite” was basic at best – nothing special, nothing luxurious, just a glorified 3-star room with a fancy price tag.
We travel all the time. We always stay in 5-star hotels. This was hands down the worst experience we’ve ever had. Totally unsafe, no accountability, no service, no class.
If my wife had been alone that night, I don’t even want to think about what could’ve happened. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to risk your safety while paying top rates for...
Read moreAmazing Hotel. 100% Positive You couldn’t pick a better location to relax and unwind the hotel has such an amazing view over the coast. I’ve traveled a lot and cant compare the sights to anywhere. Book a balcony with sea view for the slight price increase it’s 100% worth it. Staff are super friendly, accommodating and welcoming and warm at all times. Hotel is very clean with loads on offer.
Room: We booked the balcony and it was totally worth it. Bed is very comfortable, room, shower etc clean and perfectly maintained each day. Small fridge available, large TV with HDMI. Only slight downside is, no coffee/tea making facilities in the room which was odd for us. Otherwise couldn’t fault the room.
Food : Breakfast has a lot to offer any taste, eat to your hearts content. All perfectly cooked and presented. Hot food and cold on offer. Coffee is lovely. Lunch/Dinner, not cheap but worth it, portion sizes won’t keep the Americans happy but taste and variety will suit all.
Drinks: Wines, cocktails and beers on offer, loads to choose from. None of which would be considered expensive. Whiskey sour = €6 House wine = €3.50 etc
Spa : indoor spa is lovely and catered for all our needs. Indoor pool is warm with a variety of jacuzzi’s. Steam room and Sauna both perfect temp and all spotlessly clean. Chill out area is also lovely with herbal tea and amazing views.
Outside the hotel: Free shuttle from Hotel (will save you €15 each way in a taxi) takes you to Ventri Centre. Lovely authentic Italian town with loads of small restaurants, cafes and ceramic shops. Some of the shops/cafes can be reluctant to embrace non-Italians but most were very friendly. Warning very hilly town if you have children walking down (easy) to the coast and back (quite a task) There is a train station which you can access other towns very cheaply (please note there is an elevator just beside the cafe/pizza place on the corner) which will save you having to walk the windy roads which feel...
