Amazing restaurant in a beautiful location, with super friendly staff and an innovative kitchen.
The view is perfect which is why I don’t understand why it strictly (!) only opens at 19:30 — any decent entrepreneur would sell an aperitif from 6pm onwards on the beautiful balcony outside for people to enjoy the sunset (which otherwise will have happened already when you start your meal).
There were tiny issues with the service (for instance they brought a beef butter to a completely vegetarian table, only to take it away and not replacing it with something vegetarian instead, and a couple next to us was waiting for having their wine with their food) but all in all the service was impeccable otherwise and I would have loved to give a tip unless these sneaky corporate people in the finance department wouldn’t have already built that tip into my bill, at which time and out of principle I crossed it out! I would have voluntarily given more than the „suggested tip“ if you hadn’t kinda forced my hands on it. I guess few people realize it so mathematically they end up with more, but not in style!
Apropos style: the worst part of this restaurant is the music. The manager swore he couldn’t change the music or turn it down. Guys. We are in the 21st century. Forcing the same tasteless and unnecessary loud music on all people who have a very different and highly individualized dining experiences is just unprofessional and quite frankly costs you a star. If the CEO of the hotel can’t fix that, I‘m sorry for him (or her) as this is a matter of willingness only, everything else...
Read moreLe Cupole offers a stunning view, which is arguably its most compelling feature for guests staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, the culinary experience does not match the scenic backdrop.
Despite high expectations, each dish fell short of delivering the anticipated flavors, and there were discrepancies between the menu descriptions and the servers' explanations. For instance, I ordered purple shrimp with no indication that it would be served as ceviche.the rabbit gnocchi was unexpectedly the size of meatballs! The amuse-bouche was a strange combination of olive mousse and chocolate. We have sophisticated palettes but this just wasn’t harmonious.
The service appeared to be somewhat disorganized, with staff seemingly unsure of their roles. Although we were informed that the dining experience would be a leisurely two-hour affair, the courses were served quickly maybe to move on to their next seating.
In summary, the experience at Le Cupole does not justify the expense. For those seeking excellent service and quality dishes, I recommend dining at the Veranda on the main floor. The Silk Bar is also an excellent option. Regrettably, Le Cupole does not meet the standard one...
Read moreIf you're looking for a culinary catastrophe paired with a side of abysmal service, then this is your spot. As a party of 9 celebrating a bachelorette, we expected a night of joy and delicious dining. Instead, we were served a sequence of unsavory surprises.
Firstly, every dish was not only unbalanced but in some cases, downright grotesque, causing us to question whether this was a joke. The presentation and plating was creative and beautiful but could not mask the lackluster and sometimes nauseating tastes of the dishes. It was all gimmick and no substance.
The service was shockingly appalling. The staff seemed to have embraced rudeness as a virtue, treating our friendly inquiries with disdain. Hospitality was non-existent; it felt as though every request was a massive inconvenience to them, responding abrasively and sarcastically. It was memorable in that it was a uniquely horrible experience—an anti-celebration that dampened our spirits on what should have been a joyous occasion. This place failed spectacularly on all fronts, turning our bachelorette party dinner into a memorable fiasco for all the...
