Excellent location. Location location location it's the best part. Excellent breakfast in the morning. The views are absolutely wonderful as long as you have a room facing the water. If you get a room facing the busy Street the windows are very well sound protected and sealed. You will get bored very very fast unless you need just a room to sleep in and that's it... First two nights was in the street side and the last three nights was on the water side. The difference between the water side and the street side is 100% night and day different. Highly highly recommend anybody that stays here only book a room with water View and a larger room. The staff here are wonderful and very accommodating and will do whatever you need and help you as much as they can. We had room 209 with a huge balcony and loved it !!

Dissapointed with my stay in the hotel considering the rudeness of one man in the front desk. The hotel has access to the water but you need to pay €15 per person per day and it os not worth it because it is not a beach but a dock over a rock with old chairs. We enjoyed the terrace on the 1st floor and the views from our room. The hotel has old and renovated rooms. The breakfast can be improved by adding good italian coffee, pastries and good ham. Overall it is not a good value for what you pay. Our rate was 165 with no access to the water, which we though was expensive considering the lack of amenities. Good location right in front of the Castello of Rapallo. Parking is a little difficult to find.

We recently stayed at Hotel Italia e Lido for our wedding week, and it was perfect. The staff’s hospitality, kindness, and thoughtfulness made our stay memorable. Our wedding party was also thrilled with the warm welcome, delicious breakfast, impeccable cleanliness, and stunning views and beach access. The vintage vibes are so charming. Finally, the logistical support provided by the hotel ensured everything went smoothly, allowing us to fully enjoy our celebrations. Thank you, Hotel Italia e Lido, for making our week so special. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone. 10/10 would recommend!

Just come back from a three night stay at this great hotel. There was a large group of women all staying at the hotel to celebrate a big birthday and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. I had a sea view room which was modern and clean. The bed was super comfy and bed linen looked new. The bathroom was modern and clean and although the shower was on the small side it had a rain shower head and hand held shower and the pressure was good. The hotel offers some rooms with showers and some with baths. As I have an issue with my back I emailed the hotel before hand to specifically request a room with a shower and they responded immediately, reassuring me that I would have. The continental breakfast offered a wide range of pastries, breads, some cheeses, cold meats and there was an option for scrambled egg too. They also offered two kinds of fresh juices and there was a coffee machine. They could probably do with another machine to accommodate large numbers of people at any one time in the dining room but that’s being picky!!! It was certainly a great breakfast option to set you up for a day of exploring the stunning coastline. Rapallo has lots to offer from a wide range of restaurants, bars & shops to a cable car ride which gives you a breathtaking view of the area and the hotel is perfectly located for all of this. The water taxi is only a short walk away and a 6 euro return trip to Santa Margherita and 10 euro return trip to Portofino. I would suggest prebooking your restaurant especially if you are a large group of people and also in Portofino, as it is only small and can be busy in the day with the cruise ship visitors. The public beach at Rapallo was small and quite stony so worth taking some beach shoes to protect your feet. Be prepared to have to pay to use some beach areas if you want a sunbed and parasol. The hotel itself has a small private ledge with a ladder to access the sea. The cost was 15 euros for the day but the beds were modern and comfy with a sun visor attached to the bed, parasols available and the towels were clean. There’s also a lifeguard on duty. In short, a really great hotel in fab, flat location, easily accessible and I’d...

One cannot wish for a better location than this hotel, situated next to the Rapallo castle (unfortunately closed for the time being). It is sited at the junction between the promenade (Lungomare), the 'historical quarter' (via Mazzini) and is also relatively close to the cable car that takes one up to the Santuario Basilica di Montallegro. The railway station is only about 15 minutes away by foot, and there is a branch of Carrefour supermarkets about 10 minutes away.||We had a 'superior sea-room view' on the first floor; apart from the sea view, this means that we had access to a large outside patio, which is where I spent no small amount of time in the early mornings and evenings. The patio looks over the entire harbour area, giving a very relaxing start or finish to a day.||Breakfast is more than adequate: granola, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, ham, cheeses of various types, pastries, cakes and bread of various types (including focaccia) and fruit. There is a coffee machine; I can't attest to how good its coffee is as I don't drink coffee at all; sometimes there was a queue for this machine. The breakfast attendants are always willing to fill a teapot with hot water for tea. There is always regular milk (which to me tastes like UHT milk and so has an aftertaste that I don't like) and some mornings there was soy milk. Many Italians bring their dogs with them on vacation, and on at least one occasion, I saw a dog in the breakfast room.||In the evenings the hotel hosts a small restaurant on the promenade; reservations are suggested. The menu is similar to that of other restaurants, and as there is a great variety of restaurants close by opposite the promenade and inside the historical quarter, I can't say that this restaurant has much of an advantage. ||We stayed for ten nights, which is probably several more than most guests, and so were able to meet the staff quite frequently, especially the cleaning ladies. Despite the notice that only towels on the floor would be replaced, we often found that all our towels had been replaced even though they had...

ENG/ITA Position overlooking the sea in the center of Rapallo, friendly staff and a hearty and quality breakfast! We stayed on the occasion of our second wedding anniversary, we were assigned a room on the first floor with a beautiful terrace of 15 square meters where you could enjoy a wonderful view of the castle and the whole bay up to Portofino! Being June 2nd the price was certainly not competitive but for an anniversary it is really worth it. Some small flaws: Between one floor and the other there are flights of stairs that prevent wheelchair and wheelchair access to drink dispensers, the elevator can be small for bulky strollers. The hotel has 6 parking spaces in front of the entrance, on the phone I was not told as they are practically always occupied but we had a great fortune and we no longer moved the car for 2 days. Hotel recommended for special occasions, anniversaries where the romance of a terrace overlooking the sea is required.
