レディ — Restaurant in Akita

My wife and I recently visited Akita, Japan and we were referred to this small, quaint establishment for cocktails. In business since 1964, this true gem of a bar was the highlight of our venture to Akita. There were the necessary Covid precautions, and although social distancing was limited, we managed to find a seat at the bar. The bartender/owner and his assistant were both professional and friendly in a way that made you feel as if you were a regular customer. The bar is impeccably stocked with a selection that could rival the finest bars in the world. There is an extensive craft cocktail menu and watching the experts ply their trade is memorable. Amazingly, cocktails are fashioned with nothing but top quality ingredients. No skimping here. Hand cut clear ice, high end glassware and over the top "Otoshi" - ridiculously delicious. 美味いサンドイッチとアイデアカクテルを楽しめる秋田の人気バー Lady 。

秋田駅から1km程離れた繁華街の大町にあるロケーション。

外観は年季の入った建物の1Fにカウンターの写真が背景になっているおしゃれな看板が目印。

内観は薄暗い照明とたくさんのウイスキーや酒が陳列されたカウンター背面も美しい。 カウンター席とテーブル席で40席近くの広々とした空間。

こちらは1964年創業のオーセンティックバーで先代から引き継いだ二代目バーテンダーが優しい接客で対応いただける。

オリジナルカクテルや雰囲気も勿論だが、お通しで出てくるサンドイッチがシンプルだが美味しくまた来たいと思わせてくれる懐かしい味だった。

■お通し ハムサンド、チーズ、サラミ

■モンキーショコラ バナナシェイクのような濃厚な味わいのカクテル。生クリームとチョコソースと間違いない組み合わせでいただける。

■キィウィ・ボム キウイを丸ごと使ったフレッシュカクテル。ジューシーな口当たりでミントの爽やかさも良い。
