Specially hanai chicken which is local farmed chicken breed of Akita. Some of their specialities include nabe with Hanai chicken the broth was very light, it’s served with a potable grill to cook the nabe on your table. Oyako don which is rice topped with eggs and chicken, this was very flavorful the chicken was charcoal grilled and it gives a very nice smoked flavor. Another speciality is fried 2 types of gyoza with chicken or beans. They also have salad with land caviar called tonburi which is dried seeds of Belvedere Fruit. There's quite a variety of choices and prices but this one will probably catch your eye by the long queue outside. Honestly, I won't be able tell the difference between the ¥1,080 and ¥1,380 Oyako-don although the more expensive bowl apparently uses only pure 比内 chickens... You would have to ask a chicken expert what's so special about 比内 chickens. That said, I was sold on one very trivial (and perhaps silly) condition of this Oyako-don. There's none of that soggy onion toppings that they like to place on top of the Oyako-don. Also, the egg is actually a little runny, instead of being completely cooked and solid... So yeah, though I didn't get the hype, the Oyako-don is still overall...
