Restaurant Wisteria — Restaurant in Ashikaga

After walking so long in Ashikaga Flower Park, we decided to try Wisteria for our lunch. We ordered their platter because it looks appetizing. We also got their Dessert. I said one is a mango cake but I really forgot the name because I already threw our receipt. Anyways, the food is really nice! The platter consists of seafood, vegetables, and some desserts too. Their dessert is really nice as well. The only complaint is it's indeed a little pricey even if it is not a peak season. But overall, the staff were really nice. They will approach you with a smile and they would respond quickly if you called them. They also have an aircon inside which is really great as well as the toilet. If you want the special set, you’ve got to come during the lunch rush. We had a late lunch and it was sold out. I got the tomato curry with beef instead and it was pretty tasty—an interesting variation of regular curry and rice.

However, the beef curry was quite substandard. I understand that pictures in the menu are not always representative, but the curry came out with two sad pieces of beef. I’m used to the smaller portions in Japan, but how can anyone be full on that pathetic...

Located not far from the entrance to Ashikaga flower park, you will bump into this as soon as you enter. With wide windows facing the park, ambience is great.
