Men'ya Shokudō — Restaurant in Atsugi

I love this ramen shop:) I should be noted that the staff's customer service and the atmosphere in the restaurant are excellent. The staff's customer service includes natural smiles, a sense of familiarity and distance, and time to see off their customers outside the store. I love it so much. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very Showa-era style Japanese, and the chairs are very comfortable to sit, the tables are spacious enough to accommodate family customers without making them feel cramped. I also liked there is no ticket vending machine, the staff is taking your order. The ramen is a refreshing soy sauce ramen with a hint of niboshi (dried sardines). It is delicious. Finally a ramen shop that has beat my previous favourite set in 1993 Yokohama. Located next to the Sagami river, this busy shop gave my taste buds a party. Decor is 70s/80s retro, my favourite era. Cutlery also seemed random from the era. Even a pac-man arcade while you wait to be seated. Oh boy, that was a treat.

Food was absolutely delicious. Party of 3, we had 3 different kinds of ramen, fried rice and fried chicken. The chicken was so delicious, I became a little emotional.

Service was spot on, food arrive at a reasonable time.

One word to sum up.....PERFECTION!!!

A noodle restaurant with wonderful and memorable decorations which you will think of your childhood!! The noodle is ok with very hot soup which I love the most. While personally it’s a bit too salty.... waitresses are all very friendly while their English may not be very good, so you will have to point to the photo in the menu to order. The water pot with ice water is amazing, leverage the salty soup.....hahaha The most memorable thing is the old game: PAC-MAN putting outside, you may play anytime you want! So the 4 stars include this perfect game machine outside their restaurant....
