Namara Umaissyo! Hon-atsugi — Restaurant in Atsugi

Sometimes just a massive bowl of butadon is the only thing that will satisfy your hunger. This place is good enough to trigger cravings half a world away and there's no way I've found to reproduce the flavor. My son and I look forward to it every year and despite the infrequency of our visits the guys remember us like we're regular customers!

Good ratio of meat to rice (even if you order double meat like I always do) with just enough sides and garnish to balance flavor and texture but not distract from the star of the show. The pork is exceptional. Grilled over charcoal it's smokey and tender and not displeasingly greasy. Sauce is perfect; clearly doing its job without making a mess. This is the flavor I aspire to when I grill at home.

It's hopping at lunch time so there might be a line if you're not there right when they open (I consider this a destination restaurant so we're always there at opening). The food comes fast but the staff is on it and makes sure you're taken care of. Whether you're simply in the area for lunch or are looking to explore the heights of porcine cuisine I highly recommend giving this place a try... 出張で本厚木にやって来ました。 11時に到着したのでまずは腹ごしらえしようと付近でGPS検索して見つけたのがこちら。

美味しそうだし11時オープンだしここしかないって＾＾ で、お店に着いたのが11時10分。 あれ、開いてない。

食べログでは11時開店って書いてるのに。 調べてお店のホームページに辿り着て、営業時間を見ると11時30分やん！

仕方ないから食べログの修正しときましたよ。 ぶらぶらと20分時間を潰して入店しました。

店内は、コの字カウンターがあり、その中でジュージューと肉を焼いているのが見えます。 炭火で焼き上げているのですがなんとドライヤーで炭に風を送ってます！

それが普通の家庭用のドライヤーなので、ドライヤー頑張れ！って心の中でつぶやいてしまった、笑 店内のBGMは懐メロ。

なんか昭和を感じます。 さて、メニューですが、大きく分けて国産バラ豚丼と特上国産本ロース豚丼の2種類。

写真見ても豚肉が花びらみたいに美味そうに広がってます。 そりゃ特上が食べたくなりますわな。
