A very laid back resturant in the midst of a calm forest next to the local shrine. We ate outside since it was a perfect fall day. The udon was sooo good and the tempura was done just right. I'm not sure if it was the food or the atmosphere, but this will be one of my more memorable meals in Japan. If you visit the shrine, I would definitely recommend this place for lunch. Amazing food and great atmosphere. A bit of a walk further from the shrine, but I found it worth it as the area around the place was far less crowded.

The staff were also extremely friendly, going as far as giving as an umbrella as torrential rain started falling during our meal. Please give these people the custom...
