Yasutake — Local services in Dazaifu

Tried a couple of offerings on this street, but we liked this vendor the most. The mochi part is thick enough where you could taste the wonderful rice flavor, a bit grainy texture which is perfect, but also super crispy outside, and soft on the inside. The red bean paste is not overly sweet, which makes it more of an enjoyable experience. Of course the mochi came out piping hot, so you could enjoy it right...

Soba was good and chewy. Use google translate on the Japanese menu. A few items missing on the English menu. I always go for the more unique items especially if it has a raw egg and they probably feel it's too complicated to explain that menu item. This is unfortunately the case for most English menus in Japan. I can't read /write /speak but I still want the authentic...

Freshly made mochi with red bean filling. Chewy and tasty with slightly charred flavor. Service is super fast with very friendly staff. Strongly recommend dropping by for a few pieces on the spot. Take home purchase is also available, but it might not be as good as eating it freshly made...
