This Starbucks in Dazaifu, Fukuoka is one of the best in terms of design I have ever visited. The protruding Cedar blocks of wood look like wooden chopsticks randomly stacked (top view) in a rectangular container. The design just literally jumped up in front of you!
The interiors do not disappoint too. The wood design continues inside the coffee shop against the cold concrete grey walls. The contrast with the wood and concrete sets of a warm and strong feel. The horizontal beams accentuate the long corridor which gives it more depth. At the end of the coffee show is a small pocket garden where you can just sit and enjoy the full view. I hope this place and sitting here waiting for the temple open gives me a few minutes to prepare myself to enter the temple. This place is a must to just experience and enjoy the ignitions display of a play on โpick up sticksโ Bellow are more facts about the coffee shop:
