Despite the language barrier, the owner managed to show extraordinary kindness by taking us to the local 7-11 when we couldn't understand her directions in Japanese. Further to the hospitality, it was the perfect place to chill with a cool glass of water, ice cream and a coffee after climbing to the pagoda for the views of Fujisan. After our refreshments we discovered an amazing array of gifts and local crafts on sale at throwaway prices. We could not believe the value for money.
