I saw the recent reviews of this onsen being tattoo friendly so I had to check it out. I came here after visiting the Arakura Sengen shrine, it was about a 20 min walk from there. Along the way, you will get some truly beautiful views of Mt. Fuji without all the tourists.
One thing to note for onsen noobs, the water is HOT. The gentleman that was in the onsen said this is normal temperature, but I couldn't stay in for too long. My body did feel really refreshed after though. I had the pleasure of trying the udon and it was delicious. The lady at the front desk was lovely and so was the grandma in the kitchen. Read moreWent there after a long day of walking and visiting the Fujigawakuchiko area. It was a Thursday afternoon and it was empty. I’ve been welcomed by this incredibly nice old woman. No word were spoken and yet she knew what I was coming for so after paying she showed me the way to the bath. It Was really relaxing, I really enjoyed my time there ! When I came out of the bath another lady was at the front desk and as the first woman, she’s been super nice. Read moreI came for the onsen since everyone had given such great reviews, which i am honestly impressed and do not understand. Price, 750 yens and only 1 hot pool. That's it. One of the most expensive onnes for what it is... lafy at the front desk was nice for sure. Definetly not crowded. In that way is ok. But only 1 pool for 5 ppl is not enough for a good onsen experience in my opinion. Last but not least, relaxation area is very cold, first onsen I came out colder...
