御料理 一燈 — Restaurant in Fukui

I wanted to taste Echizen-crab (only available in winter months) in Fukui, and I chose Itto as the place to have it. Luck would have it (?) a huge storm hit Japan, and I and another couple ended up the only diner who could make it to the restaurant that evening. The other couple was late, and so for a while I had the full attention of the chef to myself.

He started the meal by offering me a sakazuki (a ceremonial sip of sake), then set up his cutting board right in front of me, and he just went to town with that crab. Everything was expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and exquisitely flavored. Fabulous choice of high quality local ingredients, and every dish was perfectly executed.

Impeccable service and great knowledge of local selection of sake. Definitely worthy of Michelin 2 stars. I cannot wait to return for another round of...

路面電車の仁愛女子高校から徒歩3,4分のところにある日本料理のお店。 そこまで遠くないので、福井駅からでものんびり歩いて行くことも可能。 繁華街の端っこにあります。

休日の夜に予約して伺いました。

外観から和の雰囲気があってとても良い感じです。 綺麗なカウンター席と、個室もあるみたい。

コースは17000円くらいのコースから、20000円くらいのコース、あとこのカニの時期はカニのフルコースで60,000円のコースまであります。

予約時に相談すると、30,000円くらいの予算でカニをちょこっと入れたコースもやってくれるとのことなのでその内容でお願いしました。 カニじゃない時期でも、予算は相談すれば良い感じにやってくれるのかもしれません。

料理7品と、ご飯もの3品出て、最後デザート。 途中でせいこ蟹の甲羅に内子外子、身を持ったやつを出してくださいました。せいこ蟹では最大クラスらしい。近くの三国で獲れたもの。 間違いないおいしさでした。

その後の白子もめちゃでかいサイズで満足感すご。

ご飯ものは食べられれば3種類まで出してくださるのも嬉しい。 最初に出てきた、蟹と山椒オイルのご飯が山椒好きなのでめちゃくちゃ好きでした。
