Salon-de-chef-Nakawo — Restaurant in Fukui

Drove into town and was looking for a place to eat. Glad we found this place... Lunch is from 11:30 to 2pm... the restaurant has a green awning over the front entrance and its a short walk up to the 2nd floor. We arrived at 1pm and there were only 2 other (female) patrons. We were worried as being 2 big guys, will the serving be enough to satisfy us.. The portions were more than enough to sate our hunger.. I ordered the roast beef and my partner ordered the fish special (sorry, no pictures)..The decor inside was old time elegance with a nice lunch music playing in the background.. Maybe it was our timing but the restaurant only had the chef and the waitress ( I assume the couple who owned the place?) but the service was fast and efficient. Our water glasses were never empty as she was quick to refill them..The first course was a salad with soba noodles, tofu and seafood. Warm bread and butter was also served.The soup today was vegetable soup topped with a slice of baguette. The beef stew was very tender but not dry. The vegetables were either perfectly boiled or perfectly fried, the combination was great and the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness. A nod to the Japanese background, it had boiled egg and stewed daikon/raddish. The main dish also was served with half a thinly sliced tomato with julienned veg and olive oil dressing, very refreshing. The dessert today was a slice of pillowy soft roll cake with pear (?) and persimmon on top. You can have tea or coffee, I opted for the coffee and this too was delish. このお店で食べると元気が出る、ボリュームと多彩な食材が良い意味で価格と釣り合わない、元気が出るのは多様な食を提供してくれてお腹もいっぱいになるからだと思う。 初見の日はフレンチに見慣れない蕎麦と豆腐、さらにパンとコーヒーの大容量に全インパクトを持っていかれ味を覚えてなかったけれど、忘れられないお店となり２回目、あ、はい、豆腐ね、蕎麦ね、夢じゃなかった、、あ、、、

落ち着いて味と向き合えた２回目、私の胃も心もニコニコになった。 シェフの、満足して帰ってもらおうという気持ちがこの形になったのだろうかと勝手に思ってる。 気になっていたお魚ランチとビーフシチューランチも奮発してみたら大正解、3000円近くするが全然高くない…お魚ランチなんてえ？お魚が一種じゃないよ…お魚以外の海の幸も乗ってるよ…？メイン以外もけっこう出てくる… とても美味しかった…‼︎...

平日ランチ。お任せコース1300円（税抜）前菜/豆腐と野菜のやつ（蕎麦も入ってた） 野菜のスープ メイン/チキンとサーモン デザート/いちごのロールケーキ フランスパン 珈琲 全部美味しかったです！特にメインはかなりボリュームがあり、チキンはカリカリですごく美味しかったー!フランスパンもバターも沢山！珈琲も、ポットに沢山お替りがありました！さすがに全部は飲めず。この値段でこれはかなりコスパ良いですね、感動。隣のパーキングに止めたら、1時間（300円）の無料券くれます！私達の後に、カップルが二組来られていました。シェフ1人と女性スタッフ1人でしたが、水が減ってきたら直ぐに注いでくれて気づかいもあり...
