On Google it said the place opens at 11am but it was actually 11:30am so we accidentally came before they were opened, however the owners were very kind and till accomadated for us despite not being ready. This was my favourite place to visit in Japan! Excellent customer service and amazing food. Highly recommend! We showed up at 11am and did not see that it opened at 11.30. However, the owners were kind and let us in. Will...

JR福島駅東口から徒歩12分ほどの助六寿司。

助六といえば歌舞伎の演目・助六由縁江戸桜(すけろくゆかりのえどざくら)の主人公。その恋仲の花魁が揚巻(あげまき)。ここからアゲずし(稲荷ずし)とマキずし(巻き寿司)を詰め合わせた折詰を助六寿司というらしい。

こちらも当然、稲荷と巻物だけかと思い、入口横に貼られたランチのメニューを見れば～握り寿司10個1,100円・海鮮丼1,000円・刺身定食1,000円と稲荷も海苔巻きもない。 年季の入った店内はカウンター5席・座敷8席ほど。平日の13時半頃はカウンター席に先客1名。2名と告げると座敷席に案内された。掘りごたつ式なので足の悪い方でも大丈夫。寿司ランチ11:30～14:00までなので急いで注文しよう。
