I first visited this restaurant a couple of decades ago as an exchange student. I remembered it having fantastic food and wanted to visit again on a recent trip to Japan. It was even better than I remembered! There's a great variety of dishes and they are all prepared phenomenally well, with twists that make the traditional flavors new and unexpected. For example, even simple egg drop soup had a touch of yuzu to make the taste refined and bright. 注文したのは、あさり塩そばのセット。 麺は月替わりのようで、季節もののあさりに筍、美味しそうですね。

よし、早速頂きま～す。

まずはサラダから。 何の変哲もないものの、野菜は新鮮、ドレッシングの味は濃くて酸味があって美味。

春巻きと焼売がそれぞれ2個ずつと充実。

「味はついていますけど、醤油は必要ですか？」 運ばれて来た時に確認されるんですけど、そう言われたらそのまま食べるのが礼儀かなと。

口に放り込むと、うん、確かにしっかり味がついていて、余計なものは不要。 春巻きはパリッと感を、焼売は肉のジューシーさを楽しめるのは素晴らしい。

あさり塩そばはというと、塩は控えめ、あさりの味もそれほど強い訳でもなし。

筍や青梗菜、しめじからの出汁も混ざりあって、ほんのりと薄味のいい味のスープ。 麺もやさしい味、一つひとつの食材の風味を感じられる仕上がりでした。

最近、刺激の強いラーメンを食べることが多かったせいか、この薄味には大満足。

おっと、塩そばの裏側に杏仁豆腐が隠れてました。 派手さはない安心の味、甘さも控えめなのが嬉しいです。

コーヒーか中国茶までついて、1,250円だっけかな。 春巻きや焼売でボリューム感もあるし、値段相応のセットだと思います。
