Wonderful coffee and pastries on our first morning in Gifu!

The repurposed space was well designed, attractive and functional and the service was excellent

We tried a selection of savoury and sweet pastries with our coffee - all were exceptional, as was our coffee

My favourite was the Chausson au pommes - the generous apple was perfectly sliced and cooked - delicious! And the pastry retained it's perfect crispness/texture/colour - I'll enjoy that again tomorrow!

Day 2 We took take-away just after 8am since we had a deadline

The Cardamon rolls were coming out of the oven - perfect!

Visited this shop for late breakfast with my family before heading up to nagoya. We enjoyed all the fresh bakes. Croissant, Pain Au Chocolat, Pan de Mie and Kougin Aman. They were all super good and yummy!!!

Plus point was that they were playing Tatsuro Yamashita’s music!😍 Shopkeeper tried their best to communicate with us despite the language barrier.

先日初めて行きましたが、接客は他の方が仰っている通り。

店内に入った時、「いらっしゃいませ」等の声掛けはなく、入っていいのか戸惑いました。 レジをして下さった女の店員さんは普通でしたが、近くにいた男のオーナーさんか店長さんのような方は睨みつけられているような感じがあり、歓迎されている感じが全くありませんでした。

写真撮影の禁止を知らず、商品を待っている間に店内の写真を撮ろうとしたら、強めの口調で注意されました。 申し訳無くすぐに辞めたのですが、その後もずっと歓迎されている感じがしなかったので、買ってすぐ店を出ました。

その後、Instagramで写真禁止に至る経緯や思いを拝見し、納得・理解はしました。 ですが、もっと接客の重要性を知って欲しいです。商品のこだわりから写真を禁止にしたとの事ですが、だったら接客はあれでいいのか？と思ってしまいました。 写真の注意をされずとも、決して気持ちの良いお店では無かったです。

飲食業やサービス業は特に、お客様ありきだと思います。新規不要なら知りませんが、相手がどんな方であれ、取るべき最低限の態度があると思います。

お店の雰囲気は素敵でドリンクは美味しく、次はパンを買いたいと思っていたのですが、ついこんなコメントを残したくなってしまったお店は...
