Kuukai — Restaurant in Gotenba

I was nervous to come here alone as a foreigner who only speaks a little Japanese, but the chef, Youji, and his wife, Atsuyo, are two incredibly kind people. Youji even used a translator on his phone to talk to me!

The sushi was really good, with a lot of different varieties of fresh fish. There was also egg custard and nattou, which I tried for the first time (and I didn't hate it!)

My experience at Kuukai was amazing and unforgettable, and I'll definitely be back...
