珈琲館チロル — Restaurant in Gujo

We visited Triol on the morning of March 27, 2024. This was part of long road trip from Nagoya to Ainokura in Toyama following the road well-known British writer Alan Booth walked in October 1989. Booth stopped in at Triol on the morning of his departure for Shirotori. So, we also had to stop and try Triol's Mocha Matari which Booth ordered. I showed the owner, Murai-san the sections in the Japanese version of Booth's book which mention his visit in 1989. Murai-san and Momoka-chan were extremely friendly and generously took time to chat with us. It was an extremely delightful experience. The coffee is far better than what I find in the Ginza. The curry and strawberry dessert were outstanding. It's extremely difficult to find such a treasure as Triol and I wish the best to Murai-san and the real boss of Triol, Momoka-chan. Went here for coffee, was ok but I don't recommend if you are on the bigger/chubbier side as they are rude & make fun of you when they think you have left/can'tsee them! Will...

レトロで洒落た雰囲気のある店舗で、テーブル席とカウンター席があり、地下にもテーブル席があります。 とある休日の昼過ぎに伺いまして、一階が満席でしたので、地下のテーブル席へ案内されたのは良いとして、地下は空調が効いて無かったせいか、空気が澱んてました。 着席して約五分以上、オーダーを取りに来る所か水すら持って来ないので仕方無く店員さんを呼ぶとオーダーを取ると同時に水が提供されました。 地下まで行き来するのが面倒だから、効率良く動きたいから水の提供を待ってたのかと思いきや、隣のテーブルに置かれた食器は片付けず上に戻って行くバイトらしき店員さん。 そしてトーストは注文して約五分程度で来ましたが、ナポリタンは約30分後、そして飛騨牛カレーは何と注文して約45分以上経過してから提供されました（苦笑） その間、隣のテーブルは片付けられず放置されたまま。 一階が忙しいからか？　と思いきや、食事を終えて精算する頃にはテーブル席が半分埋まる程度……
