糸CAFE — Restaurant in Gujo

Absolutely loved this little cafe! So much so, that despite us not even staying in Gujo - we came drove all the way back here again from Shirakawa-go - the next day on our way back to Nagoya! We had a lunch set on the first day with Soup and Hot dog and it was probably the most delicious hot dog I have ever eaten! The coffee was sensational too! The next day I had an apple and sweet potato pie. I thought it was going to be a lunch dish but of course it was a dessert dish - so I ate half of my girlfriend's delicious curry as well! Loved the coffee on the second day too. The owner was super friendly - she even helped us track down a couple of bottles of quite hard to find local Gujo small batch gin! Can't ask for better service than that! Absolutely loved Gujo - particularly this cafe! Can't wait to come back on another adventure to...

Stopped in here when I was on a wander around the town after seeing how wonderful it looked. Absolutely beautiful cafe and ambiance and I felt immediately welcomed. I had a tea and it came with some complementary biscuits which was a lovely touch....

Great coffee, great tasting sweets with other food options available too. English menu available and I highly recommend! My favourite sweet is banana pound cake with banana and ice cream...
