We went for dinner assuming the positive reviews were somewhat exaggerated, but they weren't. We've had good sushi in other parts of Japan, but this was by far the best. Quality ingredients, absolutely delicious fresh fish, and perfect rice. We ordered the mid-range meal, which included nigiri of shrimp, scallop, mackerel, tuna, toro tuna, eel, salmon, "delicious-fish" and an oyster, and although we were satiated, had we known the quality of the product, we would have ordered the full-course meal. This same experience in Tokyo or Madrid could easily cost two or three times as much. Additionally, the chef is not only an absolute professional but also attentive, friendly, and charming. Even if Miyayima didn't have its shrine, a visit to the island would be worthwhile just for this culinary experience. Absolutely...

I don't have words for how incredible the food is. We were just exploring Miyajima Island and happened to discover this phenomenal restaurant.
The taste, presentation, produce, price and service were all what you would expect for the highest end restaurants in Japan.
If you are in Miyajima, so yourself a favour and stop by, you will not be disappointed.
