Oshokujidokoro Miyajimaguchi — Restaurant in Hatsukaichi

急に決まった、厳島神社への参拝。 初めての広島、宮島行き。

牡蠣ともみじ饅頭とお好み焼きのイメージはありましたが、何も知らず。 正直、穴子飯とかは、まったくの初耳で。

旅行直前に、ネットで観光の見どころや名産を調べ、

へぇ〜穴子飯っていうのが、名物なんだぁ 牡蠣や穴子飯の高評価店は、ハンパなく混んで、長い行列なのね…

と、初めて知りまして。

旅程に、時間的な余裕がなかったため、 ーまぁ並んでまで食べなくてもいいや、 美味しい牡蠣、レモンケーキをどっかで ちょっと頂ければラッキー♥、 という感覚。

宮島に到着した日は、雨降りが幸いしたのか、まったく並ばずに、 牡蠣づくしランチを、表参道商店街で堪能(⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠) 予想よりはるかに美味しくって…口福に。

それから、千畳閣を経て、 厳島神社に参拝し、カフェで一休み。 もみじ饅頭のお土産も購入し、 参拝型の遊覧船も夜参加した後、 どこで夕食取ろうかな？と、 宮島で聞いて歩いたものの… 驚いたことに、 どのお店も夜8時にはクローズ⁠\⁠(⁠⁠o⁠

On Sunday Nov 3rd, Culture Day, several restaurants refused us around 9pm, but here we were kindly allowed to enter and immediately place a last order. The food was good and the prices were rather low, so excellent price quality. We returned the next day, Monday Nov 4th, Culture Day observed, and had sizzling oysters in butter, yakitori and skin on fries. The service was again very friendly despite language challenges and the waitresses were surprised that we wanted to take...

A tonkatsu restaurant near the Miyajima ferry and station! This restaurant is very foreigner friendly and also comes with English menus!

The food is cooked pretty well so you know you will be experiencing authentic Japanese katsu.

The seats are a bit cramped but I think you’ll still be able to eat comfortably.

The staff is also nice and very accommodating to foreigners...
