Himeji Bar — Restaurant in Himeji

The atmosphere is great and the employees are friendly! The pizza is good. Definitely not like anything I've ever had in the U.S. The crust is very thin. But all the same good. There are many pizza options for just 500 yen. My friend ordered an anchovy pizza and I ordered a garlic pizza with bacon and onion. We ordered an apple/ice cream/cinnamon dessert pizza that, despite having cheese on was pretty good. So why the 3 stars? Well, the pizza may be 500 yen, but so is the drink you are required to order. You know that is how they are making up costs. I mean, 500 yen for tea? Talk...

I went in thinking it would be a pizza-restaurant. When i noticed it was just a bar with really good pizza (for japan standards), i was surprised, but it didn't really alter my experience. Awesome place, great pizza that’s fairly cheap in a nice space. Good to stop in for a beer and a bite after seeing the castle. It’s tiny though and has a very small pizza oven, so if it’s crowded, it might take a while for your food to come out. Regardless, would recommend.

EDIT: Came back 6 years later and it’s still the best...
