We tried the Sakura Taiyaki, a seasonal special for 260yen. It was really crispy on the outside and the white bean filling was very smooth with a faint fragrance of Sakura. We asked if the flour batter is gluten-free, and the store person said it is! We revisited the place and tried the custard for 230 yen this time. The custard was smooth and with only a hint of sweetness. I guess it will be my go-to each time I visit Himeji 💕 The place is newly renovated and comfortable, with earthy colour tones.

This place serves Taiyaki made from right flour. I can't tell the diff between this and regular ones but they are well made and their fillings good. Price is quite alright too. The shop is well renovated, so it's conducive if you wanna rest your feet on your way or back from Himeji Castle. I ordered the chocolate flavour and it's good. Btw, I am a Taiyaki fan, so most Taiyaki, get high score from me.

Really yummy taiyaki! Very fresh, crunchy on the outside. I got the red bean taiyaki and it was sooooo good!!! It looks like it a new shop - cute and clean inside! Pretty small with very limited chairs if that’s what you’re after, but it didn’t bother me at all. Will be back :))

Best taiyaki I had in Japan! We didn't get this taiyaki at their actual store location, but we did from a food truck parked along the main road on the way to the castle. I'm not sure how they did it, but the interior breading is so fluffy while the exterior remains very crisp. Many taiyaki I had in Japan were more dry inside, or not crispy on the outside. The filling is also plentiful so you have a good amount- other taiyaki skimp on the filling sometimes. If you're in Himeji, please try, it's delicious! We had to get it again before leaving...
