Paid 4000¥ for a eel meal in Nagoya, the comparison would be unfair, especially for those who opined this restaurant's eel rice was slightly better than those from supermarkets. Prices here very affordable. 1100¥ (SGD10) for an eel rice and another 1100¥ for a complete set come with tea to waste down the fat, simply delicious plus value for money. Needed something substantial after a visit to the castle, and eel rice was just the ticket! Upon entry you do need to get tickets from a machine. Meals are prepared quite fast which is great when hungry. Eel rice was very tasty: eel rich and fully tender, fatty and sweet, combined with Japanese rice. Ordered a soft boiled egg to go with it…. Just marvellous! Family loved it...

Very good experience here with lovely tasting food - a great way to experience some of the local eel options! Note that the ordering is via a vending machine which only takes cash (1000 yen bills only) but the staff will happily exchange a 10000 for smaller bills.
