I learned about this bakery through YouTube. The heartwarming story of a father who is a baker and his daughter inspired me to visit Boulangerie Cocoro all the way from Singapore.
We had a lovely conversation despite the language barrier. The father values his connection with his daughter and the people around him — that he left a high-paying job to open this cozy bakery, offering delicious, high-quality bread to the neighborhood at affordable prices. He truly cares about making good bread accessible to everyone. To him, life isn’t just about money, but about people — doing things with heart to meet real needs.
His daughter is very thoughtful and attentive to details — she even wrote a few kind words on my bread packaging to express herself. So sweet and heartwarming!
We visited in the evening, and all the breads were neatly wrapped in clean packaging. Customers use tongs to pick their bread, showing how much the owner cares about hygiene, food safety, and customer health.
The breads are very reasonably priced considering the quality ingredients used. The cocoa bun, filled with rich flavors of berries, fig, and cocoa, is clearly made with heart and passion.
The croissant tastes on another level — definitely the best one I’ve had so far! It’s aromatic, crispy on the outside, and soft inside, perfectly balanced between saltiness and sweetness. I wish I had bought more!

I felt very warm welcome and shy from Mr Okamoto and his daughter, Miyu. They are both very shy but willing to tried their best to serve their customer.
It is very precious for someone who willing to do business to educate people and provide the best help could do.
About their pastry? Probably the best croissant I have ever had and it is made without butter and egg (substitute with soy and soy milk). It is because Mr Okamoto wants his customer to eat healthy. It is crunchy and fresh definitely worth to try if you visit to here!
