We love how convenient this restaurant is to Ibusuki station. It was the perfect way to experience some renowned ramen in the region.

We arrived a bit before their scheduled time to open (11:30) and the door was open and people had already been seated inside. We felt lucky to not have to wait in line.

The staff are incredibly sweet and cheerful and gave us the time we needed to peruse the menu using google translate. The room we were seated in was comfortable, clean and private. We didn’t feel rushed whatsoever.

The kitchen prepared our order really fast and it was fresh and flavourful. We had lots of gyoza, the most popular ramen option and the black pork pieces on rice dish (non-minced).

Side note: the music was great too...

I’ve heard from a friend of mine that this ramen won the price for best Kagoshima Ramen in the prefecture so naturally I went the next time I was in Ibusuki. I’ve had the Kaimondake Ramen (named after the volcano in Ibusuki) and it was a very large portion. But the ramen didn’t disappoint. It is a tonkotsu broth but more on the light side and not too fatty topped with multiple toppings. Ramen enthusiasts should definitely try this place when they...
