GBH has been a mainstay North Indian cuisine restaurant here in Gyotoku for as long as I can remember. Having been featured on TV, it has relocated from it previous small and humble location to its present spacious, cleaner and bright location with family-friendly seatings.
It has always been a popular restaurant with both the Indian and local community and even with the relocation, the quality of the food hasn’t dipped.
I’ve always been a fan of biryani and both the mutton and biryani here comes with generous portions. Set orders comes with salad. I love the spice but for those that want their food less heaty, spice levels can be adjusted to your preference. Lunch sets are priced reasonably, from the basic naan and curry set to the largest set which comes with chicken tikka and seekh kebab and 2 curry options. The kebab is smoky spicy, nicely seasoned and pairs well when eaten with the chewy and crispy naan. The tikka is delicious but it’s slightly on the drier side . The nihari served here is one the more popular items on the menu, it’s rich in flavor and the meat is tender and juicy. I’ve also tried the sides of samosa and it came perfectly crispy. Definitely pair the spice with their refreshingly sweet lassi drink or chai.
The owner is loud, cheerful and friendly with a chatty personality, know him well enough and he might even add in some complimentary dishes or drinks. The female staff is very friendly and patient to many inquiries on their menu, they will also inquire you on how their food is when served. They will usually recommend trying other dishes, be mindful as food portions are generous.
GBH has always had plenty of regular customers because of the warm hospitality and amazing food, both my experiences dining-in for lunch and dinner were very positive. If you’re ordering take-out, don’t be surprised if you’re invited in to sit and be served with a free cup of chai. One of my favorite restaurants here in Gyotoku with its affordable pricing, service and menu, GBH is very...

Rich taste and worth the trip! The food is delicious and I highly suggest to call for reservation on weekends. Other than biryani there are other dishes like mutton nahari and mutton karahi that seems to be so popular amongst the customers.
The interior is quaint, just enough and gives a relaxing feeling. There are pictures of paintings from the northern area of India on the walls with some explanations.
End the meal with chai! totally recommended and will come back for more!
