Do yourself a favour and visit this soba joint after you go to the Cup Noodle Museum which is a very short walk away. Rather than eating cup noodles, you can eat the real thing! 🍜 You order outside on the machine and by using Google Translate, this will help immensely if you can’t read Japanese. From the moment we entered, the waitress greeted us very warmly and gave us the booth seat. She was extremely helpful and welcoming, knowing full well we were tourists. The noodle dishes we ordered were the white broth chicken soba soup noodle with the beef sushi, added a soft boiled egg, the raw egg on rice with some condiments and chicken pieces and the dry noodle with a raw egg and chopped onions with the beef sushi and it included a small bowl of rice. The soup noodles came with a white broth and was frothy! It was so unusual looking but in the best way. The richness and depth of the soup was exemplary. The noodles were perfect, the additional boiled egg inside the soup as well as the fried burdock root made the meal. It was unlike any noodle soup I’ve ever had. 🤤 My husband’s dry noodle dish was outstanding! Once all the ingredients including the raw egg was mixed, it sort of reminded me of Zhajiang Mien. It gave it a thicker and richer sauce which coated the noodles perfectly. We ate the meal with so much joy and thanksgiving as it would likely be one of our last meals in Japan before departing for our flight back to Australia in the late evening. I wrote a message of thanks and encouragement and showed it to the chef and the waitress as I wanted them to know how much it meant to us that their food brought us so much joy and comfort. This is the one and only place I saved in my “Osaka” list for next time as we definitely want to return!

I wanna preface some things! I think the quality of the food is fantastic, it's fresh, it's well prepared and flavors are all there, but because I personally am not a fan of chicken, I would not come back again. But I will be recommending this to anyone who loves the strong flavor of chicken! If you are choosing between the white or clear broth, choose it based on texture! Do you like your broth full bodied, creamy and coating your noodles? (white) Or do you prefer it light (clear)? It's also a big bonus that it's near the Ikeda station and the cup noodle musuem so it makes for a very convenient meal! But be prepared to wait for about 5-15 minutes as there are limited seats.

My husband and I were hungry after the Cup Noodle Museum. As we were walking back to the train station, we got hungry and stopped at the first place we found. There was a small line, so we thought it might be worth it. We stood in line, ordered from the machine outside, and waited for one of the guys inside to guide us in. The food was amazing!! My husband is a bit picky when it comes to ramen, but he loved soba. It's worth the wait and worth the food if you get hungry and you're around this spot. Also, I had a bit of a laugh when my husband was given a child's fork to use since he doesn't know how to use chopsticks (he's learning, though).

Went to the Nissin Cup Noodle museum with my friends in my Japan Trip. We were looking for food ,and decided to find food nearby IKEDA station. Found this shop which is near to the station exit. It is at the junction before turning right towards the museum. Ordered the soba using the vending machine. Was welcomed into the shop by the attendant and seated by the counter. The soba was really awesome!!! Recommended those who visiting the museum and those nearby to explore and try for themselves.

Definitely recommend visiting before or after attending the noodle museum. The clear broth was full of flavour but not too salty or thick. I don't normally finish my soup but I devoured it. The milky soup was rich with flavour. The chashu was tender and the grilled meat sushi made us wanting more (I'm very picky with my meat). The restaurant is small and cosy. The staff are polite and friendly. I would wait to eat here if I had to.

Chanced upon this when we were visiting the Cup Noodles museum at IKEDA. Amazing rich chicken broth, packed with flavour and not too salty. Took us quite a while to figure out what the fried negi actually was. It was a lovely lunch. Atmosphere was very chill with mostly folks who were there for late lunch. Definitely did not regret passing up on Ippudo for this. Must eat! Karaage was amazing as was the beef sushi!
