An extremely small space, this is the highlight of the trip for me in terms of quality of food at a cheap price. Seems to just be one person running the shop, and after she takes your order, she's immediately behind the counter getting to work. It got hot in the space, so while it was nice to sit at the counter, it was also a little uncomfortable.
But I wouldn't trade it for the world. Ordered the Okonomiyaki with squid and Takoyaki, both of which were heavenly. Specifically, the okonomiyaki, which was a perfect level of softness that melted in my mouth.

Read moreWe had the most authentic experience here. The owner runs the place for 50 years and she will retire in 1.5 years so you have to rush. We had the so-called “best okonomiyaki” in Hiroshima yet her okonomiyaki exceeded. It has this nice soft texture and so much sea food in it. You must try “Daimyo Yaki” which has everything in it. She is 83 years old and it is just impressive that she still runs the business. She said she supports her grandson and will run the business till he graduates the university. Our kids enjoyed watching teppanyaki cooking at the bar counter . While we couldn’t converse freely with her in Japanese , she offered the kids ice and water to refill water bottle.
