The atmosphere of this place is amazing! Right by the river, old traditional style Japanese house, and yummy sweets and drinks. We came around 3pm or so and only had to wait about 3 minutes to enter. We were lucky to get the counter seats but I felt all the seats had a good view of the river.
I got their cold zenzai and loved it so much! The mochi, anko, and vanilla ice cream all went really well together.
Lots of reviews raved about their iced coffee so I got that too but honestly, I can’t tell the difference with convenience store coffee. Most iced coffee tastes the same to me TBH.
My husband got their cheesecake and yuzu squash (?) soda. I really liked the drink. Perfect for a hot day!
This was the perfect place to relax for sweets and a drink after lots of walking at Ise Shrine.
I saw some people buy the dango from this shop and just eat by the river— also seemed like a great idea too! Either way, you can’t go wrong...

The three or four tables on the balcony were all EMPTY! And we would not have minded sitting with smokers, if any had turned up. The point blank refusal and the unwillingness to be flexable, made us feel unwanted and unwelcome. So we left and enjoyed tea and cake...
