Dining Bar&Cafe Nayuta — Restaurant in Ito

One of my favourite meals I've experienced in all of my Japan trips. This unassuming looking izakaya is a hidden gem. Despite having only one chef, the plating and ingredients are of high-end restaurant quality. I was able to watch the chef and see the care and attention to detail put into every element of every dish. The slow-cooked pork belly was the best I've ever tasted, it was so soft that it melted in my mouth. The waitress was so friendly and helpful even though we don't speak Japanese, and they even had a menu translated into English for tourists. Cute little place that pack a big surprise. We were enroute to Izu Zoo and needed to grab a quick lunch. Have been enjoy lots of Japanese foods so wanted a change. Found ths on Google Map with great reviews so gave it a try. Didnt expect much and when we drove it, there were nothing around and it looked closed. Amazing food. Very highly recommended +++ to anyone coming to this area. Excellent dinner after seeing Jogasaki coast. Fine dining standards at a humble price. Easily the best meal in Japan so far. They serve italian-japanese fusion foods. Please give the chef some time to prepare the food as well as he prepares it dish by dish.
