Sakanaya Dai-chan — Restaurant in Ito

We thoroughly enjoyed the chef’s choice menu for 2 which included an appetizer of tsukemono and marinated fish, a sashimi course with some local fish we’d never tried before (oakamuro, hedai), a tempura course, delicious local pork, and a fish in cream sauce. Every part of the dinner was perfectly prepared, fresh and delicious, and excellent value - we enjoyed more food than expected. Highly recommend. Let the chef guide your meal.

We don’t speak Japanese but the staff were very kind and accommodating and even wrote the sashimi down for us....

This is our second week in Japan and without hesitation this is the best restaurant. The food is outstanding, fish & beef are the specialty.
