Onigiri Burger Kansai Airport — Restaurant in Izumisano

Kansas airport- We ordered food from here because everywhere else had a very long queue…….This place charges 5500yen for a thin slice of ‘kobe’ beef which is completely undercooked and raw in the middle (see pictures) with some rice on either side of the meat wrapped in seaweed. I had diarrhoea for several days after this. Completely unacceptable especially in Japan where general food quality is outstanding. Do NOT eat at this restaurant. This place should be shut down. Even if the beef was cooked properly it is a total rip off. Tip- when you’ve checked in and gone through security and get to the intersection where the gates are. Take a right and you will find reasonable food at reasonable prices. If you take a left then then you will find this restaurant and several others which are either ridiculously overpriced or have ridiculously...

Had this a real quick bite while waiting for my flight at the Kansai Airport. Chose the cheapest option as I just wanted to finish my JPY coins and not break my notes 😆

Overall a decent light snack though I would not say it's delicious. Compared to the original onigiris this had much less rice to fillings ratio which I liked (for mine it was spam and egg). There are a lot of other options which many chose to go for but can't really comment on those

The rice was not as starchy and thus once you bite into the 'burger' the rice fell out all over. The seaweed wrapping the rice was fresh and crunchy though and not 'wet' yet. The spam felt lighter in taste and the egg was just a regular egg.

So yea, for a quick light bite while waiting for your flight, go for it. But don't expect anything...

I had a great experience at OnigiriBurger at Kansai International Airport. The service was excellent, with friendly staff and quick preparation. The atmosphere was pleasant, though it can get a bit crowded during peak hours.
