Le Pan Kobe Kitano — Restaurant in Izumisano

With 4 cases and 2 hand luggage we thought it might be tight inside, but there were tables outside. My husband went and checked that tables outside were OK. Older gentleman inside just nodded and pointed back to the outside seating. Husband went back to order, same man said, we had to eat inside!!! Which meant leaving all the cases outside, unaccompanied. We parked everything next to an open window next to a free table. By then, after we had been messed about, there was a queue. Got in and the table was still free with out 2 trolleys, 4 cases next to it. Asked to sit there, for obvious reasons, the same guy then said we had to sit at the counter as there was only 2 of us. For the love of!! Literally 50 free tables, less than 20 people in as it was 5.30am. That meant we were not near our trolleys and we had our backs to them. After 4 weeks in Japan, this was the worst. We promptly left. He either needs to retire as he clearly hates his job or maybe just people from outside of...

This is my favorite place to eat at the airport, although I prefer the same shop’s branch at Itami Airport. The atmosphere is very calm and spacious, especially compared to any other place you might eat at KIX. It’s a bit expensive, but worth it if you’re going to sit here for a bit and relax. You can get a table and order a drink, and then also get bread from the bakery and eat it here, which might be a more affordable alternative than menu items.

The service from this store was quite appalling. Stood at the gelato area waiting to be served. There was no customer at the time. But the store manager just stood at the cashier minding himself. After a good few minutes, I walked over to him instead and asked for a double scoop gelato. All was fine until he scooped the gelato, and a portion fell off the cup, he proceeded to pick up the bit that had fallen off with his finger and placed it back onto the cup. He then proudly passed the cup to me, as if congratulating himself for saving the bit of gelato. I was simply too stunned and will never buy from this shop again. A shop that does not know basic...
