Komeda's Coffee — Restaurant in Kamagaya

I've always wanted to visit Komeda Coffee because the place looks beautiful from the outside. I can confirm the place is as pretty inside!

The ceiling is very tall and there are wooden beams across the ceiling. It gives a very spacious feel. The tables are also made of solid wood and the seats are covered in dark red velvet. It gives a very cosy and posh feeling.

I have to say I was rather disappointed with the selection of desserts though. They all look like pre-made cakes and pastries. It doesn't feel any more special than buying it from a convenience store or supermarket. They could at least work more on the presentation. I understand the plastic around the cake is meant to show how fresh and clean it is, but it really makes it feel like a pre-made defrosted cake, rather than something made especially for me.

Coffee is nice and the towels they brought to wipe the hands were very hot.

Toilets are a bit small and not that fancy, compared to the look and feel of the café in general.

It was a good overall experience but not...

My favourite komeda coffee place. It's big, has a large car park, friendly staff and we come here as often as we can to have their fantastic breakfast. The toast is delicious, the yoghurt is the best I've had and the scrambled egg is just yummy! Oh, the coffee is really good too 🙂. 本日、日曜の16時過ぎ落ち着いた時間に来ました。 個別会計をしている４人グループがレジ回りを占領しているため入り口で待っているとしばらくして店員さんが来て｢片付けないと席に案内出来ないので名前を書いてお待ちください｣と応対されました。 そしてその店員さんは他の方に片付けて案内をするように指示していました。 名前を書き椅子に座って待つ間、何組かの客も帰り片付けをしていましたが呼ばれません。 視界に入る位置にいるレジに立つ若い女性店員さんも目の前を何度も通る男性店員さんも気に止めてくれる様子はありません。 気にならないの？と不思議でしたが急ぐ用もないし、既に席に着いている客への配膳が優先かな？と思ったので様子を見ていました。 10分ほど経ったため声を掛けようと思ったら3人連れの客が入店。するとずっとレジに立っていた店員さんはすぐさまその3人を席に案内。 なので｢すみません、ずっと待ってるんですけど｣と声を掛けました。 そして席へ案内されましたが、待たされたのは何だったの？というモヤモヤが残りました。

レジにいた店員さんに配膳されましたが、やる気のない態度で、ストローを雑に置かれ気分の良いものではありませんでした。

最初に私達に名前を書き待つように言った店員さんに、片付けて案内をするように指示された店員さんは理解ができていなかったのだろうか。 飲食店に勤務する私としては色々と有り得ないなと思う体験ができました。 残念で...
