Kakan Kajiwara Shop — Restaurant in Kamakura

Rating 4.0 This popular restaurant serves mainly ma-bo tofu, but also tantanmen, dumplings and lu-lohan. The restaurant is located in Kajiwara, an inconvenient area accessible only by bus from Kamakura Station. There is a 'HQ' near Kamakura Station, but the one in Kajiwara is actually the 'Founding place'

The ma-bo tofu is an authentic Szechuan type. It is fairly spicy on its own, but the hotness can be enhanced by adding red chili and sansho pepper, which are available on the table. When eaten with rice, you won't be able to stop. The dumplings are also recommended. There is a long queue at lunchtime, but you can also enjoy the taste of this place easily with the take-away. all uses pork. came with a friend who cant eat pork and requested a chicken dish (karaage or oil chicken that usually inly serve as take out). understood the situation and was flexible to allowing us to order it and have them eat in. much appreciate it! stayed longer than 3pm (lunch closing time) but they were welcoming and did not mind.

2013年3月に鎌倉駅前(現在の本店)にて鎌倉の通りでふらりと立ち寄れる、バル感覚のビストロ「カジェヘロ」をオープン。 続いて、2016年2月に山椒の香りと、幹に枝葉をつけて成長できるようにとの想いを馳せ、「香幹」の響きが良いことから店名を「かかん」とし、梶原にて麻婆豆腐専門店「かかん」をオープン。 オーナーの小嶋氏は、音楽がお好きなようでリズム感覚、センスがいいですね！ 料理からも随所にそのセンスを感じ取ることができます。かかん梶原店は地元の人気店へと成長していきます。カジェヘロも麻婆豆腐専門店「かかん」にリニューアルし、かかん鎌倉本店となったようです。両店とも行列ができる人気店なので、これからの展開も楽しみですね！
