Having lived in Kamakura for 6 years now, this is one of the few restaurants I look forward to returning to. Simply put...delicious food, expertly prepared, served by a friendly professional staff in a cozy space...makes a meal at Kamakura Rokuyata an enjoyable experience...every time. The 'Hamburg' is Japanese comfort food that is served in many restaurants and often made at home. But Kamakura Rokuyata's version (patties made of chicken, pork and Tofu) is a lighter, more healthy version than the typical beef and pork patty. This is especially true as the set meal includes miso soup, a generous salad and Tofu side dish. The entire "Healthier" meal is an ensemble of lovely flavors which can be further tuned with the many topping options. My favorite is the 'Garlic and Spicy Oil' variant. The chef is a true genius. Go. eat. enjoy. I promise you will be glad that you did.

A very satisfying meal. Didn't expect much from a tofu buger, but wonderfully light yet delish. Perfect with sauce with wasabi & pepper (ask for one). Only menu is tofu sets with different toppings- cheese, tartare, veggies, raddish etc...and rice with choice of garnish. Be ready with super long queue & slow moving because of limited seat capacity. Only 4 tables and the rest of the seats about 6 are at the bar area. Their tofu burger runs out after late lunch .

I felt so welcome even though I was a sweaty (and probably smelly) gaijin who doesn’t speak Japanese 🥲 When I arrived it was full, but I could write down my name (the writing board was just inside, on the counter) and was seated when space opened up. The tofu burger patty was so good and filling. The menu is short so you don’t get overwhelmed with choices. I happily recommend

いつも行列しているので、気になって訪れてみましたが、人気が出るのも納得のお店でした。 2巡目以降は、店内のウェイティングリストに記入してから外の列で待つ形のようでした。 豆腐ハンバーグなのでしつこさや脂っこさはなく、とても上品な味です。 大きめの俵形のハンバーグですが、豆腐が入っているからか、ふんわりしているので重くありません。 しらすの乗った冷奴、サラダ、お味噌汁もセットでこの価格ならコスパは良いと思います。 （ご飯とハンバーグソースはおかわりもできるみたいです。） サラダも上にカリカリしたトッピングがかかっていて、和風ドレッシングともマッチしていて美味しかったです。 美味しいものがあると食べることに集中してしまうからなのか、ハンバーグが提供され始めると店内が静まり返っていました（笑）。 味が良いことは勿論なのですが、個人的には大将のプロ意識の高さがすごく印象的でした。 キッチンでお一人で料理をしながらでも、全てのお客さんをよく見ているので驚きました。 ポン酢の容器の使い方に戸惑っているお客さんがいたらすぐに声をかけていたり、席を立ったお客さんには尋ねられる前にトイレの位置を伝えたり。 ご飯が進んでるお客さんにも「おかわり自由ですからね」と声をかけていました。 相手が何を求めているか先回りして対応されていて、気配りがすごかったです。 格式高いレストランでも、ここまで完璧におもてなしができるスタッフってなかなかいないと思います。 しかも、料理をしながらなので、本当によく見ているのだなと。 ただおいしい食事が食べたくて訪れただけなのに、仕事ができる人というのは意識が違うなと、同じ社会人として大変勉強になりました。 女性スタッフも、お客さんから声をかけられる前に、お茶やお水が無くなっているコップがあれば注ぎに向かい、ハンバーグが焼き上がったらすぐに提供できるようキビキビ動いていました。 ご飯の盛り付けをされていた方も、お茶碗の内側に親指が入らないように持ち、ふんわり丸く盛れるように丁寧に作業されていました。 味だけでなく、接客面でもとても安心して利用できるお店だと思いますし、私が今までに訪れた飲食店の中で、最も接客が素晴らしかったと思います。 鎌倉を訪れる際は是非また訪れたいと思います。 ごちそうさまでした。

I wish I was a travel influencer so I could tell more people how great this place is, but I am not. If you are reading this, go. Don’t think twice. A Japanese burger is not like an American burger. It’s made with tofu and some meat so it’s a pretty light meal. Honestly, perfect for a hot day. Fluffy is the key word.

The food is very delicious eventho mostly it's only made using tofu!! The staff was super friendly and helpful. He quickly grab us water and ice to drink during the summer. He also offer help to us to take a picture in front of the store. The restaurant is not that spacious so you might need to queue in busy time.
