The main issue with this place is the price. It's too expensive by far. The location is good, but that's about it. Also, it's placed next to the train station, so expect to hear trains going around. They lie about room sizes (had 4 of us in a room that would barely fit 3, we had to pile one futon on top of the other to fit them all). The aircon on the room is noisy, and the closet doors get stuck easily. The locks work with a code number... If you miss the code three times, the room will be locked for an hour. Oh, and there is no trash can in the room.
Futons are paper thin. We've slept on other paces with futon and tatamis, so we can compare, and these were very poor. There's one bath and two bathrooms for all the 6 rooms. The sinks in the bath also play the part of kitchen sinks, so you can have someone brushing their teeth next to a guest cleaning their dishes. A door to the side will be someone getting a shower, and, to the left, someone doing their business in the bathroom.
The tea area is small, to say the least. And don't trust any claims about lockers or luggage area, their instructions are, literally, "just leave it somewhere around the place", and there's a paper clarifying that they will not be held responsible for any missing items. The place had no supervision, with the main door open, when we arrived in the morning, so... Not very secure.
WiFi comes and goes, but that's a given in most places.
In summary, it's over priced as hell. I have slept in run down places when travelling with a tight budget, but I shouldn't be expected to pay for a hotel and sleep in a round down hostel instead. All accommodations are expensive in Kamakura, but maybe look for...

Villa Sacra is right next to the station, easy to find and centrally placed, giving access to the city and surroundings on foot, or by bus and train. ||||Villa Sacra is a charming old Japanese house that has been converted into a hotel/guest house with some artistic flair. It is small but comfortable. I stayed for 12 nights and it became a real home from home for me. There is everything you need here and the staff are very well informed and friendly, and there is someone on site 24 hours a day. There is no shortage of places to shop and eat locally and you can find every kind of cuisine. ||||I used Villa Sacra as a base for exploring Kamakura, and I was able to hire one of the bikes for just 1000 yen a day. I also had a couple of trips into Tokyo, which you can reach by train in just over an hour. Transport systems locally are excellent, giving you access to Enoshima and Hakone. I recommend you try the Enoden Railway and Shonan Monorail. ||||I would definitely stay at Villa Sacra again. It is both homely and stylish and the staff very warm and helpful. The location is perfect and it provides an authentic Japanese experience for...
