This little gem is tucked away in a residential area in Kamakurayama with a nice garden in the back yard. We didn't check it out, but it looked like plum blossoms were in bloom when we visited in February.
Although we mentioned that some of us don't eat raw fish at the time we made our reservations, chilled sashimi was served as an appetizer. However, they were quick to remedy the error and came back with an assortment of grilled seafood.
The soup of the day was onion, which was quite pleasant. The salad was fresh and crisp. The sour cream they offered with the baked potato was quite good. Of course, the main attraction, the roast beef was fabulous. The meat was very tender. I opted out of pouring sauce over the roast beef. Salt and pepper were enough to season the meat.
After the main meal, they rolled out a dessert cart. The choices of the day were rum-soaked Sacher-Torte (not recommended for the designated driver), strawberry shortcake, matcha cheesecake, matcha pound cake with sweet beans, pear tart, custard pudding, and raspberry mousse. We were asked to choose three. Decisions, decisions lol I went with the strawberry shortcake, custard pudding, and pear tart. The tart was a bit sweet to my liking, but the shortcake was light and fluffy, and the custard rich and smooth.
All in all, it was a fabulous meal in wonderful company.
I'm not sure if they speak English there. I don't think so.
Side note: Google maps might lie to you. The map took us to a dead-end road behind the restaurant. Driving there is recommended since public transportation isn't...

Don't waste your time, unless you fit that category. That restaurant can take this review as advertisement, so people don't take the journey up the hill to this seedy spot just to get...
