We turned up to Futa's on a very quiet Wednesday night when he was planning on closing. Luckily he kindly let us order beer and we stayed and had a few. The beers were very good and the price very reasonable. What's more, Futa was super friendly and made the experience even greater. Futa recommended us his favourite from those on tap and he understood our broken Japanese very well. Futa's English speaking was far superior to our Japanese and we enjoyed conversations about beer, coffee, Kanazawa and England which came up as BBC radio station was playing. They usually have 7 beers on tap. I had the peach tea and loved it. I much prefer light and sweet beers so it was perfect for me. With a variety of selections everyone is sure to find a beer that suits them. We also ordered the steak. It was perfectly cooked , juicy and melts in your mouth, with hints of garlic butter and fried garlic on top. It came with wedges that we crispy and soft. Futa’s was our first stop in Kanazawa for a quick bite and a couple of brews. Futa was very kind and helped us gather our bearings in a new city. My partner and I tried a few different beers (a sour, a peach wheat beer, and 2 different IPA’s) and had the some delicious dumplings.
