My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff provided a warm and welcoming greeting upon arrival. The front desk clerk gave us excellent recommendations for navigating Kanazawa, which made exploring the city much easier. Also, there was QR code to their website with food/attraction recommendations, which we really appreciated.
We arrived a bit early, but the hotel was kind enough to store our luggage while we went out to explore. When we returned to check in, we were surprised to find that our luggage had been delivered directly to our room, which was really nice!
Our hotel room and bathroom were very clean, and the comforters and pillows were fluffy and warm. The shower had excellent pressure, and the bathtub was deep enough for a relaxing bath. The toilet has a good quality bidet, with toilet paper available for those who prefer it. The hotel provided toiletries and fabric/room deodorizer spray (great for times when you eat out at smoky izakayas).
One of the highlights of our stay was the Kanazawa Music Bar. The bartender and DJ were clearly passionate about their work, and we had an amazing time enjoying cocktails, delicious food, and great music. The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly, and their customer service was outstanding. This was by far our favorite hotel during our two-week trip through Japan. The hotel is foreign-friendly with English-speaking staff.
Other perks: affordable laundry services (about 500 yen per load), a rooftop patio to snap a photo, and umbrellas provided at the front desk for rainy days.
Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone...
Read moreWe choose this hotel based on past Trip Advisor reviews. We made the right choice. We stayed in Kanazawa for four nights. This hotel made an excellent home base for exploring Kanazawa. And the record bar was a great treat. It's right in the lobby and it's a fun time. Good food, good drinks and the resident DJ is spinning cool music on two turntables.||The staff is very helpful and friendly. Especially Rachel. She is extremely helpful, knowledgable and nice. She gave us excellent restaurant options and great site seeing ideas. She was a pleasure to talk to. And, everyone at the front desk is also very nice, helpful and friendly.||The beds were very comfortable, the shower had constant hot water and was a decent size shower. And, it's very quiet. This hotel is actually in a pedestrian walking mall. But, you'd never know it. It's in a good location. The only thing that I wish was better was the breakfast. The morning food is just two small croissants. One croissant had whipped cream in it. The other croissant had a small egg with some lettuce. Not that filling or appetizing. So, the breakfast was disappointing. However, the coffee was good. It didn't ruin the stay there. Just be aware that you might want to go somewhere for breakfast.||Having said this, we would definitely stay at the Kaname Inn again. It was really a nice place to come home to after a full day of...
Read moreI can't thank enough the team of Kaname Inn Tatemachi during my stay. Haruki san, Hiroki san, Ted san, Ayumi, etc. and of course the one and only brilliant Hiroshi san- the owner, took such great care of us, that I will never forget their generosity, efficiency , professionalism and kind hearts. My stay felt like family, the level of hospitality friendliness is simply amazing. The food at Kaname Inn Music bar downstairs is delicious- i loved it, their Chef is so good!! The hotel is very comfortable, well thought on little details, everything is in very supreme solid quality condition, very clean, the mattress is very comfortable, rooms are soundproof, i had such a good sleep and rest there, it is a very quiet neibourghhood. i absolutely loved my stay. I am grateful and will remember everyone with smile and warm feeling. Also i have to say there is something special in atmosphere of Tatemachi street, its special, something magical in the ambience. You will not regret if you choose to stay there. I also think that Kanazawa and Kaname inn deserves to be supported during Covid times. Kaname Inn is a private business, where the team works hard to be better every single day. Guests are treated with personal approach on a name basis. Such a highlight of my stay in Japan. Unforgettable....
