We were recommended Torinobo by a local. It was relatively easy to find as it’s on a back street to some major streets. We were told it’s where the locals eat and we can see why. Despite our very limited Japanese but were welcomed with smiles and helpfulness. There are a variety of Yakitori dishes so you can feel like you’ve tried everything if you want. From the common chicken versions to things you will be less likely to see on a street vendors stall. The owners daughter spoke good English and was very engaging and helpful with our questions. Asking us about our trip and giving us advice on activities in the area. We have been in Japan a week and my partner said this has been here favourite dining experience so far. Eat here!!! It is delicious and the owners are so so so sweet. My fiancé and I had dinner here last night after a long day of exploring the beautiful town of Kanazawa. We walked in around 8 pm and we were seated immediately and very warmly welcomed. This place is run by an extremely kind Japanese couple. They have an English menu with descriptions + the English spelling of the Japanese word so you can order (or just point). We ordered 6-7 skewers each and it was all SO good that we ordered even more after. The prices are very reasonable and the food is DELICIOUS. Do yourself a favor...
