A 30min wait for the ultimate BBC!! BIG BLACK CURRY 😫💦 one of kanazawa’s specialities!! 🍛 while waiting eagerly for a taste of that delicious bbc our tummies were hungry and legs were jelly!!! 🤯 so best believe that when it was time to order we went ALL OUT and picked the whole shabang which had sausages, porker cutlet, hamburg steak and of course rich velvety BBC 🙊

The curry was thick, smooth and had a rich taste which called us a taxi and took us all to flavour ISLAND 🏝️ The sausage and hamburg went astronomically well with the curry adding an extra flavour and texture profile. The hamburg was defs a HIT 🥊The pork cutlet was crispy but honestly didn’t really do much as it was a tad over cooked and was very MEATY 😉

All around was a great dish but wasn’t THAT different from other Japanese curries that we’ve had before; still delicious and worth the visit if you’re around 😜

We tried the pork cutlet curry and the shrimp curry, and both dishes exceeded our expectations.

The pork cutlet curry showcased the true essence of porkiness, with each bite delivering a juicy and tender sensation.

The shrimp curry, on the other hand, was a crispy delight. The shrimp was deep-fried expertly, resulting in a delectably crispy texture that added a delightful crunch to the dish.

Imo what sets Kanazawa curry apart is its distinct flavor profile. Unlike ordinary Japanese curry, Kanazawa curry boasts a slightly stronger taste with a pronounced spice blend. The flavors of the spices shine through, creating a unique and incredible experience for the taste buds.

Small, no frills shop that is serviced by a ticket machine outside of the store.

Choose your meal, get a ticket and wait to be seated. Get prepared to have the best Japanese curry you'll have ever eaten in your life.

Be warned though, a large plate is truely the first time I've received something worthy of the name "large". Get the extra-large size at your own peril!

There is a no talking policy in store but luckily the food is so tasty, you won't even think about talking.

You can tell by the richness of flavour and deliciousness of the meat that this is a tried and tested recipe that has been perfected from decades of experience.

The food is basic but it tastes so damn good.
