Cannot recommend. We chanced upon this place on a back street and it has a fascinating exterior. The outside menu contains Italian standard dishes and wines, which were appealing to us at right at that moment. Menu also stated, 'no drinks only' which we noted before entering. The place was empty (Saturday night) so i asked if they were open. The woman at the door says, 'yes open - for meals', which was fine for us, point taken (again), so we went in, perhaps instead we have heeded the. My wife and I went there together with another couple. We were greeted immediately and taken to our seats. Not crowded at 7 pm. We had set meal dinner with 6 dishes plus desert and coffee. Every dish was really delicious with good presentation. The fish dish was a pan fried horsehead tilefish. It was fried with scale. The scale and skin were crispy with meat inside soft and juicy. The last dish was steak with truffle and the steak was fully covered by truffle flakes. We had late lunch around 3 pm and thought we won't be able to finish everything at this dinner. But, because of it's so tasty, we just couldn't resist but finished everything. Do not listen to the bad reviews on here - this place is amazing. The food was incredible. We took our 1 year old baby and the owner was amazing. The owner cooks their own bread and it is delicious. We had the prosciutto salad and it was sliced fresh and it was so thin and delicious. I had the pasta and it was cooked to perfection. My mum has the fish and she said it was the best fish she had in a long time. We are very picky eaters and have had trouble finding a good Italian place to eat in Japan.
