JIGGER BAR St.Louis — Restaurant in Kanazawa

Atrocious and offensive service. They wouldn’t serve me any food except nuts and ham but served sandwiches, fries, and pudding to Japanese guests just a few tables away. If you don’t want gaijin, put up a sign instead of treating me like a rube. What really rubs it in is they had a sign specifically welcoming English-speaking guests.

If you’re white, stay away unless you’re sure there are no Japanese guests present because they will be the staff’s priority number one. Far and away the worst service I’ve had in Japan.

Also their cocktails are just okay. Jewel House is good but the gin gimlet had basically no sweetness and they wouldn’t make me a penicillin (even though it was on their menu) for...

stayed in Kanazawa for 4 nights, I visited this cocktail bar every night. The vibes here are really good, typical western style cocktail bar The price is reasonable. Meanwhile, the cocktail is on the standard Both Japanese and English menus are available, and the staff can communicate in English as well, which is friendly to foreign visitors. All the staff are very nice and friendly to the customer, they smile all the time with good grooming, beautiful and handsome faces. Traditional bar, but feels more rundown than classic. Stale smell of cigarettes hits on entry, and the waistcoats and hand-chiselled ice feel contrived. The drink I had was good (Maduro, their own, 1300), but the drinks tend to be small or heavily-iced.
