Shinjo Terrace — Restaurant in Kawasaki

I walk by this cafe often and the times that I have visited have been decent. The staff was not incredibly outgoing but was perhaps nervous to interact with a foreigner, albeit one speaking Japanese.

The cafe itself is very lovely in terms of design, as far and the quality/variety of food and drinks, it’s not extremely varied but, for a small cafe, this is absolutely acceptable.

My issue with this cafe is the noise and clientele; while I’m not sure if the cafe is directly involved in the event space behind it, the photos and reviews here seem to imply that it is. Which is unfortunate as I have encountered people stumbling from these events drunk, yelling and fighting in the streets, and even smashing bottles at the doors of nearby houses. I’ve even been harassed by people coming from the building at times. At first, I thought these people were from bars in the area, but the amount of noise and this activity is concentrated to this event space front at night... perhaps it’s better as a patron of the space than...

Very cozy on a fall afternoon and friendly staff! Met my husband there for a date. Latte was wonderful, I ordered...

おしゃれで素敵なカフェ。 小さいお店で落ち着けますが、周囲のテーブルの会話はよく聞こえてしまいます。 内緒話をしたい時はご注意下さい。

閉店時間を知らずに入店してしまい、店員（女性）さんではないオーナーさん？みたいな女性が急にテーブル横にやって来て 「閉店時間なんですけどっ！！？（いい加減帰って！風）」と怒られてしまった。 連れは恐縮して謝罪していました。

ごめんなさい。 でも、突然怒り出さずに閉店時間をお知らせ頂ければ有り難かったです。

接客をしている店員さんは終始優しかったです。
